A belated birthday celebration for HP as she was in Taiwan for the past month (in army) and only came back on her birthday itself.
Got a reservation at the hot dining place - Porn's!

Very appetising and makes you crave for the next dish to be served!
Pineapple Fried Rice

Pornsak served this to our table with smiles :) The fragrance of the rice spreads through your mouth as you chew on every grain of it! Yummy!
And YES! The most anticipated dish of the night - Tom Yum Goong! There's two types - Seafood/Prawn. We ordered the Prawn one.

It's... fabulous! The spicy-ness is just right for me, but HP, PS and RW had tears welling up in their eyes! Haha... the word use to describe this soup is - Shiok!
Omellete with Prawn

The prawns are very fresh and Q, and blends in well with the egg. :)
Green Curry

Quite a heavy flavoured dish, thick coconut milk used. Not really my type. Still prefer the usual red curry we have.
Stir Fried Beef with Basil Leaves

This dish is good to eat with rice!

I must say, their prawn dishes are really good.
Stir-fried Kang Kong

Not the usual 马来风光 that we eat at 煮炒, this one is not spicy and is fried with 豆鼓 and so gave it a slightly savoury taste. And you can taste the 火候 (heat) used to fry these vegetables!
Mango with Sticky Rice

Sweet cold mango with warm sticky rice, how does that sound?
It is just the dessert to complete a meal!
The overall dining at Porn's is great, with the service crew being attentive and responsive to your needs, and the food are value for money.
Just that I find the seating can be improved because it's all single stools, which leaves you no space for your belongings to be placed on except on your lap, if not, on the floor.
It would have been great if there were sofa seats and chairs with chair back which would then make seating more comfortable.
And probably they can offer bigger food portions at a different price?
If you are interested in dining there, better make your reservations fast because they are already fully booked for this and next month! But you can still try and ask what are the available slots they have and you may get one, just like us! :D
Click here for their FB page.
We had a great time catching up with each other and having cheap thrills by picking the polaroid photo which is requested by the 'gamer'. HAHAHA!~ We are good at self-entertaining.
And of course HP, hope you had a great 21st (belated) Birthday Celebration with us!

Oh and also, Happy Belated Birthday to 2nd Bro!

comment (0)Yesterday Mum told me about the Rojak stall at Admiralty which she had tried out many years back and still remembers it now, so she was asking if we shall go together today... I didn't really answer her, but only asked her where it was.
Then today I went there to get it, not knowing what present I should get for her birthday, I could only think of getting her favourite food and drinks. I bought red colouring and beer, and as expected, the cashier asked for my IC. I didn't mind it though, 'cos that means I don't look like I'm already 18! WAHAHA!
I tried to prepare the red eggs before Mum gets home from work, but couldn't. But then again, she didn't realise what I was doing in the kitchen 'cos she's glued to the TV on the Taiwan series. The packet of rojak was brought forward to her and she immidiately guessed it right! HOHO!
"不好意思leh..." was what she said, I told her, "什么不好意思!有什么好不好意思的?!
Haiyo... fancy her feeling sorry about me making a trip there to get the rojak, it wasn't far and anyway, she didn't make me do so mah...

The red eggs were left on the table, covered up till she realised it after a nap. Could tell that she was really hapy about it... hehehe... she said "我的女儿长大了", (My daughter has grown up already), aiyo... she's been saying that since don't know when, so have I grown up already or have I not? *Ok, I didn't grow UP, I maintained.*

We settled for a sumptuous meal at a nearby coffeeshop with black pepper crab, hot plate tofu, hot plate deer meat and scallop fried veggies dish.
They should provide the "KIAP" thing for me to open up the crab shell, if not I have to keep biting like a termite... but Dad was the saviour! HAHA He's the one always passing me the skills to eating seafood.
And 3rd bro paid for the meal and a cake which we bought later on.
Cake was served as the dessert...

See, this is Mummy with a 3-action-shot, "Wishing", "Blowing candles" and "Cutting cake"!
So cute of her. ^_^
*Oops! Did I reveal Mum's age with these pictures?!*

The chocolate... Mmm...~ the taste surround the tastebuds and lingers in the mouth... HOHO!!
Then I continued to serve up the red eggs and beer, and my Mum went "Aiyo... 吃不下了lor,一直吃!" But Dad peeled the eggs and both of them still ate it. =x
Happy Birthday MUMMY!

comment (0)First to shopping…
Visit Bugis for the 4th time in two weeks last Friday. This time was with Jie Meis, and was introduced to some good food by them… Ice Monster & Miss Clarity Cafe.
*Updated with 3 photos below! (from PB)

Then to school!
Well, before you knew it, the 10 weeks of holidays has past just like that! And yes of course, first to shopping then to school! Almost everyone wore uniquely today, and that’s superb ‘cos it’s so refreshing to have a new look!
To start off school today, we helped to give out Oops! Lollipop tissue (*exclusive!) to the students @ Dover. It’s part of a promotional event for the MOS party organized by CASS’s magazine – Oops! held on next Friday.
And just a point to be taken, Singaporeans is not the usual freebies-die-die-must-take! Or rather, most SP students are so… (To think the packaging of the tissue is so nice!) But at the end of it, we still managed to give it all out!
Having to lug the laptop around makes one very clumsy. Hopefully it’ll be restricted to Mondays only…
First day of Year 2 wasn’t that bad. At least time passes quite quickly… and I’m very looking forward to DMA (Digital Media Applications) which we will be able to edit out our own trailers for a show!
Oh yeah, here’s to mention about the crowd at the off-school hours!
The train towards Pasir Ris stopped halfway into the station, no idea why.
And on our side… look at this.
The whole platform is swarmed by SP students!! And to think the next train comes only in 7 minutes, but… it wasn’t accurate actually, the “Arriving in 2 minutes” stopped there for like quite long. Then it has to happen that the transition at JE station has it’s next train to terminate at Yew Tee.
That’s the typical peak hour day for you
OH! There’s shuttle bus service to Ngee Ann Poly from WDL bus interchange la!!
*Can SP provide it too? I’m sure there’s sufficient students traveling from WDL to SP!
First post of the month, just something random.
Yesterday went to the long-time-never-visit Bugis with Jov and Leen and found that the foodcourt they used to have is no longer there, and what was present was restaurants ranging from western to chinese food. So decided to tried this shop named 红锅 where they sell 过桥米线 (cross-bridge vemicelli?) 'cos I was attracted by their humongous-ly big bowl (and it costs $6.80 only, a rather reasonable price!)

I could hear the honking of the vehicles affected by the causeway jam in the office... at home... -.-
Suddenly got heaps of work to do when during normal days I'm having mushrooms growing on me... but anyway, the pay for last month is in!

The day before yesterday
Went to ICA with mum to make her passport, and realised that the efficiency is now so much better than in the past. You'll just have to go queue up to take the passport size photo, take a form placed at the NETS transaction area, fill it up, glue the photo onto the form, make your payment via DIY method and after the receipt has been printed out, staple them together and drop it into the box. TADA! You are done! It takes about 5 working days for your passport to be done (depending on different days, I guess) and not sure if you'll be in a long queue during the collection...
There's a "gap" in between the middle of this building, decorated with greenery!
I suppose this is Kallang river, since we are somewhere near there...

This banner was rather funny... "Selling anyhow when boss is not around!"

Yesterday
Went to the "people mountain people sea" Suntec for the IT show.
Had planned what I wanted to buy after doing some research from the papers, but wasn't sure if I will get them, in the end, I still can't resist the temptation of those stuff selling at such prices... so I bought a cordless phone (comes as a twin pack actually),

an optical retractable mouse,

a router, (OH YAY! Now I can use internet anytime at home! Don't need to to "fight" with my bros)

and a 250gb hard disk! (So shiok can! The home pc's storage is depleting day by day because of me.... now I can store the shows I recorded in here! =x)

Oh man, and seeing the camera prices pains my heart. They are going at such low prices with many SD cards and free gifts thrown in! So PB got herself a digital camera of the Kodak brand, and when she told others about it, they had almost the same reaction: "Har." LOL
The specs was quite good, but not sure if it is lasting... anyway, there's the warranty "card" (receipt-quality-paper actually) of 1 year.
Got all exhausted and hungry so we randomly went to this restaurant - Just's Noodle, where there's free flow drink!

Had a rather satisfying meal of spicy chicken, I thought normally when they say "spicy" is ok only, but this one is really spicy. Woo! Shiok! Called PS and lucky PB has earpiece, if not we would have on the speaker and everyone can hear our conversation! we chatted for almost half an hour and PS's phone went no batt. and thus ended the conversation HAHA
Today at work is still like almost the same thing as what I did for the last week. Admin job. Duh.

I want my own cubicle in office! Got more freedom and space! The laptop I was given to use was quite *err*... Windows 2000, no internet, will lag and hang at times... "Mr Bean" accompanied me.

comment (0)This is how SP look like late at night...
The lift door got stuck and it just won't open at the 3rd storey...
HA! No lah... The lift door just won't open at 3rd storey, it's alright when its at other levels, It didn't happen at night though, it was yesterday evening when we were about to go home.
Went to BREEKS Cafe for lunch today with Jo, Leen and Aq @ CWP
My Baked Seafood Pasta Monray!
I'm the shortest, but the tallest here!
Happily sipping away my Classic Avocado!
Their service was very good, someone would shout "Guest in!"
and together they would "Hi, Welcome to BREEKS!"
When you are about to leave, someone would shout "Guest leaving!"
and in unison again, they would "Thanks, Bye, See you again!"
That's cool! The food are rather tasty too, though didn't really like my drink.
The ambience in the cafe was rather good, the red furnishings, furniture and lightings makes the cafe comfortable.
Ok ok, I'm like evaluating the cafe for IDEAS. -.-! Everyone seems to be poisoned by IDEAS.
Oh yeah, people, join Facebook! It's really fun with lots of games!
Join my army of Slayers, Werewolves, Vampires and Zombies! Join me as a pirate & fight with the ninjas! HAHA
Just tell me when you've joined it, and I'll invite you to join the games! comment (0)
Then we went to Vivo, spent some time @ Toys'r'us
and headed for our lunch, @ Secret Recipe.
I had Frosty Lemon Tea
and Noodle in Tom Yum Chicken
it tastes real nice as can see from my pose for the Tom Yum dish!
And as you can see... the price was quite "nice" too... haha
This is Choc Ice Blended, Strawberry Milkshake, Frosty Lemon Tea (2) and Ice Cuppucino

Secret Recipe didn't had Orange, Watermelon and Green Apple when the rest tried to order Frosty juices of it, and they don't have the Choc for Choc Milkshake too (when it was only 1pm) -.-!
Took photos with Simpson family @ GV too & also saw the big poster for Kym's movie - Gone Shopping.
Had Crunchy Shrimps with a drink for snack @ $2.90 - LJS.
That's all for today, and off rushing projects now!!
