Ready... FIGHT!

Very happening yesterday.

Witnessed a fight between a Chinese uncle and an Indian young man.

Mummy wanted to pay for her pants but I told her I wanted to look at mine... and we went outside. Then we heard a quarrel going on at the corridor of the shop we were at.

The uncle questioned: "Why you touch my hand?! This is Singapore you know!"
Guy never answer but just stare at him, his girlfriend keeps pushing him away.
The uncle continued to repeat and scolded $#%@&! with "hand signals".
Can see that the guy is tolerating him, and his girlfriend told the uncle: "Enough lah uncle!" and pushes the guy backwards.
But the uncle didn't gave up. Then there was a few seconds of silence.
The uncle suddenly gave a huge push to the guy's girlfriend!
At that moment, my mind went: "Wa. Start liao."

Then of course the guy retaliate and punched the uncle, and then it was the moment of frantic. Everyone was tensed and tried to move further away from them. They were grabbing each other's head and trying to throw punches at one another, then they fell (or the uncle fell) and made rows of clothes fell too!

As the situation gets even fiercer, Mummy was pushing me away and telling me: "Aiyo 快点走快点走! 不要看了!" but she keeps turning her head back to watch!! And she was even more nervous than I was. She grabbed my arms so tightly! AIYO~

The guy then ran a bit further away, and the uncle raise the clothes trolley (the type that a lot of clothes are hung on a bar, and with wheels...is that how you call it?) and wanted to beat the guy. Tsk tsk.

Scary. The uncle's nose was swollen and bleeding.

Mummy and I went away for awhile first before going back to pay for the pants that she bought, and there were traces of blood on the floor as well.
Aiyo... tsk tsk. Fight over such small matters. It's not as though his hand is gold or diamond plated, it's not as though he is a WOMAN -.-! Maybe it was accidental? But the guy didn't explain or answer when the uncle questioned him too. =/

Watching a fight on-screen and off-screen is a huge difference. There is no 'I-punch-here-you-siam-you-punch-there-I-siam'. It was all a mess when a fight goes on. Haha!

-------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, then after settling stuff at Civic, while travelling down the escalator, I told Mummy: "哇,好像要下雨了", and when we reached the ground level we turned to walk the opposite direction, it started pouring!!

Which reminded me of a time at work when we go for lunch at the canteen, it was so bright and sunny and so hot. A few of the colleagues who came like 5 minutes later said: "Wa... it's raining heavily outside!" All of us were: "@.@! Raining?! It was so hot when we came!" Then when walking back to office after lunch, it was bright and sunny again, and the floors were wet.

It is quite stunning how weather can change so fast huh?

HP's 21st Birthday Celebration!
Monday, October 25, 2010
Posted @ 11:50 AM

A belated birthday celebration for HP as she was in Taiwan for the past month (in army) and only came back on her birthday itself.

Got a reservation at the hot dining place - Porn's!

And here are the dishes!
First up, Green Mango Salad!

Very appetising and makes you crave for the next dish to be served!

Pineapple Fried Rice

Pornsak served this to our table with smiles :) The fragrance of the rice spreads through your mouth as you chew on every grain of it! Yummy!

And YES! The most anticipated dish of the night - Tom Yum Goong! There's two types - Seafood/Prawn. We ordered the Prawn one.

It's... fabulous! The spicy-ness is just right for me, but HP, PS and RW had tears welling up in their eyes! Haha... the word use to describe this soup is - Shiok!

Omellete with Prawn

The prawns are very fresh and Q, and blends in well with the egg. :)

Green Curry

Quite a heavy flavoured dish, thick coconut milk used. Not really my type. Still prefer the usual red curry we have.

Stir Fried Beef with Basil Leaves

This dish is good to eat with rice!

Fried Rice Cake

Crunchy and fragrant.
Makes a great snack and makes you want to crave for more!

Prawn Cake

I must say, their prawn dishes are really good.

Stir-fried Kang Kong

Not the usual 马来风光 that we eat at 煮炒, this one is not spicy and is fried with 豆鼓 and so gave it a slightly savoury taste. And you can taste the 火候 (heat) used to fry these vegetables!

Mango with Sticky Rice

Sweet cold mango with warm sticky rice, how does that sound?
It is just the dessert to complete a meal!

The overall dining at Porn's is great, with the service crew being attentive and responsive to your needs, and the food are value for money.

Just that I find the seating can be improved because it's all single stools, which leaves you no space for your belongings to be placed on except on your lap, if not, on the floor.
It would have been great if there were sofa seats and chairs with chair back which would then make seating more comfortable.
And probably they can offer bigger food portions at a different price?

If you are interested in dining there, better make your reservations fast because they are already fully booked for this and next month! But you can still try and ask what are the available slots they have and you may get one, just like us! :D
Click here for their FB page.

We had a great time catching up with each other and having cheap thrills by picking the polaroid photo which is requested by the 'gamer'. HAHAHA!~ We are good at self-entertaining.

And of course HP, hope you had a great 21st (belated) Birthday Celebration with us!

Oh and also, Happy Belated Birthday to 2nd Bro!

Went back to SP today to get collect the Yearbook... and passing by each area reminds me of everything that we did during those days... so much fun and laughter and nice memories.

I really missed the times in SP... so much.

On a side note, read this news about the haze.

Haha! We should rephrase that bit - "Thank them when there's good air."
We should "thank them when there is no bad air."

We are not even given proper explanation and how do we expect proper management of the situation from them?

Hazy

Noticed the haze since Saturday and Mum asked where it came from, and I answered, "Where do you think it is except from Indonesia?"

Haze is getting very bad. Reached PSI reading of 103 @ 5pm already. Smelling bad too.
The haze is making everything seemed blurry and I feel like just sweeping it away! I miss the clear view~

=/ Take care everyone!

A special date to note of.

Just wanted to post up an entry because of the date.

Editing has been pretty enjoyable so far and I felt pity when some funny stuff have to be cut away because of duration limitation! It can't be helped.. =/ Editing NCB always cracks me up! Hahahahaha...!! I shall look forward when my name appears in the same roller credit with my idols. HAHA!

Cut my hair today. - Noted. I always can't remember when was the last time I cut my hair and it just grew and grew and every time the hairdresser would comment: "Your hair is very thick."

Xiao Zhu! Waha! He is still soooo cute!!!

He speaks in such a nice and gentle tone that makes him even more lovable!
He could still remember the way back to our flat even though it was already one year ago since he went back to Aussie! He is not even 3 years old yet!

He would go: "Gu Gu OW ah!" if you stop (or in his view - force) him to do certain things. HAHA
And Gu Gu means aunt (that's me). He would go around "OW"-ing people if he feels that they don't treat him well. hahaha... and that way of expressing himself didn't change 'cos he does that when he was younger too!

This was when I told him to SMILE!~ and he gave me such a cute one!

The couple of photos below shows him trying to "aim" before he throw the magnetic dart onto the board, and he does it the opposite way, looking, or rather winking both his eyes at the bottom of the magnetic dart rather than looking at the back of it and the board!

Nobody did that but he knows that he has to "AIM"! HAHAHA!!

Another of him showing me his wide SMILE!

When kids get together...

They play MAHJONG?!

Look at him WOW at the spilling water!

SPLASH!

He was trying to make his Kor-kor take off his shirt because he also took off his own!

His Kor-kor pressed his feet against the splashing water coming up from underground... and Xiao Zhu came along trying to imitate his Kor-kor...

Then there you go! Kor-kor runs away! Making the water splash into Xiao Zhu's face!! HAHAHA...!!

Ah Gong bringing Xiao Zhu crossing underneath the splashing fountain!

Cheeky boy

And this is when he was already rubbing his eyes trying to keep awake,
when I asked him: "Xiao Zhu 累不累?"
He replied: "不累"
Me: "要不要睡觉?"
Him: "我(pronounced as - "orh")不要"

Haha kids... always don't want to admit that they are tired. I hate to admit that I'm tired when I was young too! Whenever I heard my mum telling other people: "Yi Ai Kun Liao", I would get very angry and say: "MEI YOU!~" =x

And here's a few of my captures at Marina Barrage:

Xiao Zhu is coming back!
Friday, October 8, 2010
Posted @ 5:37 PM

My nephews are coming back tomorrow! EXCITED. It's been more than a year since I saw Xiao Zhu!~
As some things were cropped up which caused the delay of their departure from Aussie, Xiao Zhu actually woke up early in the morning and went to wake his brother up and tell him: "Kor Kor, 起来, 我们要坐飞机去找阿麽!"
Then when he realised they weren't leaving on that day and he has to go to the child care centre, he cried so badly!!
Aww... Ultimate cuteness & sweetness!

I can't wait to see him! comment (0)

Taxi drivers' weird theory
Posted @ 5:12 PM

Yesterday went Ju Shin Jung with the Silverins and the way on the cab is really nauseating.

Oh before I talk about that, the meat served at Ju Shin Jung were quite good, and it will be hassle free for you because there will be waitresses to help you cook the meat! Kim Chi is wonderful-ness!~ HAHAHA!~
--------------------------------------------------
Ok back to the topic,
The driver kept stepping and releasing the accelerator, making me nauseous!
At first I thought it was because of the traffic jam but then I realised it wasn't the case when he drove in the East Coast Parkway where the whole stretch of road was smooth and free of cars! He still kept on stepping and releasing the accelerator!
Lucky ChewYen has got some sweets with her, if not I would really have puked 'cos I was already breaking cold sweat.

Then ChewYen later told me that the driver is actually trying to increase the metre count by doing so in order to get a higher metre fare! What kind of nonsense is this?!
YOUR METRE COUNT DOESN'T INCREASE JUST BY STEPPING AND RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR!
Go and brush up on some common knowledge please.

Come on man.
Don't try to earn the so called "extra income" at the expense of your customers.
It doesn't matter what kind of job you hold, you will be given the due respect as long as you show professionalism.

Wait till one day I puke on your cab and then... that's TOO BAD!~ comment (2)
