-Yesterday-

Saw Dasmond's team with Nat the moment we step out of digital media studio where we have the digital video production module class there. After watching the making F.R.I.E.N.D.S, you would never have imagined how tedious, how much work and how many people are involved behind the scenes. And it all applies to any type of shows, which leads to the path of the development of quality programmes.

Our lecturer, was a producer for numerous famous sitcoms you have seen on TV, eg. Maggi & Me, Phua Chu Kang, Living with Lydia, Crime Watch, Incredible Tales etc. That was a WOW, due to his young age, and now, he's not with Mediacorp but have his own production house! Cool huh?

We got to try out filming some things with the $5,000 yet considered low-end video recorder too.

Went off to FC3 for lunch then and saw Fiona & Ben's team.

Was able to watch the recording of Hey Gorgeous due to the long break. Dasmond, Fiona and Ben, being candid, kept us in laughters in between the waiting duration with some jokes which are real funny. Dasmond was showing off happily that he didn't need to go back to studio for work after the recording to Ben, so I guessed they were talking about Presiden'ts Star Charity rehearsal. =x

It was pretty obvious who's the winner for Hey Gorgeous, though most like M2, I didn't quite like him... so the end result? Catch it on 22 Oct, Mon 8pm on Channel U.

The 3 hosts ran off almost immediately after they finished their last line and while some tried to go up to them, others swarm to Nat. More people crowd around him to take photos but he rejected and apologised sincerely that he needs to go 'cos Dasmond's gang is waiting for him. His expression was rather cute. haha

Bought Kelly's album too.

-Today-

Went to the Sembawang God of Fortune temple where jiu mu and cousin pray to Kong Zi a.k.a. Confucious. Lots of people was there too for the same reason, to pray for the better and improvement of their children's results and to let them 开窍. I'm not of course, if I haven't 开窍 till now...
The number of parents with their children there explains 天下父母心.

Mummy was there to pray to the God of Fortune, and she got a bag with Mr Fortune printed on it, one side upright, another side over turn. Initially I thought it was normal for it to be in this way 'cos I thought it would mean 财神到(倒), until jiu mu show that hers wasn't so, then we realised an look out for others as well.
As it happens to be, mummy's one was the only one that is in this way, which made her and feeling that she's very lucky to have gotten it, and kept smiling, a rather cute and funny scene if you imagine. haha

2nd sem - 1st week

The modules this semester... though only news writing requires us to bring laptop, but only Web Publishing and Digital Video Production interests me.

GEMS start first thing on Mon, and Aqmar and I didn't check where our class is, so went around the block like some headless flies then chanced upon the i-kiosk outside the library and was able to check it out. But of course, we were late.

As it happens to be Tuesday when the schedule was tight, starting lesson at 8am and ends at 5pm, I came down with a flu, making me sneeze 8-9 times at a go, sometimes when my AH have not even sounded, the CHOO comes straight after another CHOO. So it goes, Ah Choo! Ah Choo! CHOO! CHOO! CHOO! CHOO! ... and on.
Rajan didn't want us to address by MR, 'cos he says he didn't need a gender affirmation. So I went Ah Choo-ing in his class as well, so he joked about me having an allergy to him. When I say that I didn't want to see a doctor, he asked if I want my sickness to be fermented for a week before I do so. Haha

So Wednesday came, and I've got rid of the flu without any medication, but ended up with a sore throat, though can't smell much, I'm still able to taste. (Luckily!) School ended real early so went home to slack for a while before I bathe and go to sleep, without having lunch.

Plenty of water did help, throat feels better today. What irritates me was the train early this morning.
While reaching Jurong, the trained stopped in the middle of no where, for 5 minutes. GOODNESS! I'm in a rush 'cos I can't be late for the first lesson! When it finally budged, and reached Jurong station, the train going towards Pasir Ris is gone for good (DO NOT BOARD). And according to my friend, there are already 3 DO NOT BOARD trains gone! When I finally made my squeeze into the train, I'm only a step away from being pushed out of the train if someone behind had made any movement.
Then, was the travel to Clementi. It started off slow, then stopped. An opposite train passed by, and it gather up the speed to go on again... no, it didn't gather up much speed, the speed was constantly... slow for quite some time. Jerked again. Yet another opposite train passed by. Finally it made its Chiong to Clementi!
Had to step out at Clementi station to make way for people alighting, not many however, and quickly made my way into the train. As I ended up at Dover at last, met Aqmar by chance and we rushed for class. Was 15 minutes late. Well, no amount of explanation would help for my late arrival. So I've derived to a conclusion, when you are in a rush, things simply won't work out. So be prepared for such circumstances.

I really don't get why do we pay the transport costs, for all these :
There'll always be people who are unable to board the train due to the rush hour time and had to wait for another one.
There'll always be train that goes "This train is terminating at Yew Tee" "This train is terminating at Yishun" when it isn't the final stop.
There'll always be "Attention all passengers, the train at Platform A/B is not for passenger service, please wait for another passenger servce train. Thank You"
Transport costs hike every year without fail. Yet the service and situation doesn't seem to improve.

The people around me, and in fact almost the whole class seems to have contracted my contagious flu that I hear sneezes and coughs throughout the lesson.
I'm so guilty and deeply sorry for making all of you fall sick. >.<

So as it happens to be, the first week of semester 2 doesn't seem to start out smooth, and I kept getting late this week. I hate to be late man. Got to push myself for the better.
But there's always things to cheer me up! Event of the year is coming!

Wedding Dinner
Monday, September 24, 2007
Posted @ 7:00 PM

Yesterday was the wedding ceremony of my 2nd uncle, so first up was the tea ceremony where the elders get tea served by my 2nd auntie-in-law.

Mummy drank twice, one herself, another on behalf of Dad 'cos he's at work. (Lim Gao Boon ah~)

My cute cousin's show time!

Then went to the wedding dinner at night, there were 20 over tables and we were at the 6th.
Let the pictures do the illustration for the wedding ceremony!

Pic on right was when the host requested for the newly wed to kiss till our YUM SENG ends!!

YUMMM...~~~ YUM YUM YUM YUM~~ SSSENG!~

There were appetiser, shark's fin, cereal prawn, roast duck, fried scallop... red bean paste with lotus seed... a total of 9 dishes with unlimited refill of drinks, its enough to fill the stomach and I don't need to cook maggi mee to eat after that. HAHA

The finale! Family photo! (and obviously who is not in.)

Sentosa!!

Posted @ 11:59 PM

It was since a few years back that all 7 of us went to sentosa together, from then that we made an agreement to go back there at least once every year, and we went there usually on National Day. HAHA
But for now, the hot and sunny day, anyday, is just the right day for some sentosa fun!

Present : Pj, Ps, Me, Kf, Hp & Rw.
Absent : Pb (due to class... aww =/)

Rw was locked at home 'cos her keys were gone and had to await for her dad's rescue... so she came to our rescue after an hour after the original meeting time =x
Then finally, we are off to Sentosa!

Gobbled up the sandwiches Pj's mum made for all of us the moment we settled down, and it was so satisfying to the stomach that it stopped making complaints.
Half of us wanted to sun-tan, and the other half - sun-block.
We let the waves hit us as we sat there... played volleyball (not me), took photos, eat potato chips and received lots of sun kisses!
Didn't stayed there for long though... but was an enjoyable trip for a get-together.

We used self-timer to take photos of all of us, and the result turns out to be great!

However much we enjoyed ourselves, we would never forget Pb.

So here goes!

Ps, Kf & Me went Pj's house after dinner and played with her Guinea Pigs! They were so adorable! And the white one, using a metaphor, is just like a soft toy!
It doesn't budge when it's put on the ground =x
Played Monopoly, though not the ultimate winner, I'm not the ultimate 'loser' too. HEHE
Pj's PS2 wrestling game - Smack Down was so funny... both of us ganged up to beat up the com player LOL
Then hitch a ride on Ps's dad's lorry home after everything.
Then here I am, blogging instantly & efficiently about today!
