Oh well well well!
After one and a half months... oktoLIVE! is here!
Top reason why you should watch oktoLIVE! is because...
it is by the *erherm* 10 student producers of SP Diploma in Media and Communication course!
I still can't believe the day has arrived!
Today's technical run was so hilarious and so much fun! Everyone from the floor to the control room was laughing as we had some trial runs, with some of us 'calefare' as the performers/kids coming onto the show!
Will show you all the behind-the-scenes if there's a chance!
Oh and out of the busy busy schedule that we have, we managed to churn out a short video for ping's birthday!
And we made a 3G call and sing her birthday song too!
oktoLIVE! will begin its debut today (Fri) and every Fri, 'LIVE' at 6.30pm on okto channel!
You can call in/SMS to engage with us on the programme!
Do visit: http://www.oktolive.sg/
because there's one important link *cough* 'profile - student producers profile' that you have to visit... HAHA comment (0)

This was taken at the very first day of the last school term in Poly!
And yes, we love 04! How could we miss a full class photo like this?
All of us are holding a cupcake in our hands 'cos that's part of the celebration for Kai and Ting's birthday!
This is our clique's picture! Long time since we last get together!~
And I miss the times when we sit together for lunch/break...
so far we haven't been able to do so yet :(
Random posing! It's funny that everyone is squeezing into the centre to accomodate to the are which the camera can capture =x
We were on our way home along the corridor when we pass by the ex-library-and-now-turned-study-area, to see all these nice looking chairs! We couldn't resist it but went in and sat down. HAHA!

Ping and the rest passed by and decided to join us as well, and we began a photo-taking session once again!
Pardon us, but we have to capture every moment that we can because 6 weeks is just so short.
Already one week has passed. I still can't believe it went by just like that.
To think we struggled to pass by each day, during other school terms to meet project deadlines...
And now we struggled to pass by each day, to approach the day when we bid goodbye...
Only 5 weeks to go.
Only 5 weeks to go.

Days counting down...
8 days to first episode of oktoLIVE! telecast!
35 days to last day we'll all be together as a class...
I wish time would go faster because excitement is waiting in-line... but I wish time wouldn't pass that fast because I can't bear to say Goodbye to my classmates...
Recalling the times when I wish that I was graduating... and now the time is approaching... but I wish we could still stay on longer... together.
It's ironic.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Time is just not enough to spare, for family, for friends, for school, for work...
But it may be due this, that we cherish even more of each and every moment that we could spend on someone.
When I was young, I had hoped that time can be saved and used for next time... and when the school's textbook has got a story on saving time, it was so apt in relation to how I felt.
The story was about using some mechanism to clock in the number of hours you want to save now, you can save as much as you can, then until the day that you need it, you just have to press something, and that day would be longer than just 24 hours!
I'm still hoping there will be...
When I reach home late at night and saw bread for the next day's breakfast on the table, and when I open the fridge and saw my favourite Yakult there... I smiled. Dad bought them. It's just like how Mum was in Singapore then, that I sometimes open the cabinet and find my favourite seaweed there. Dad/Mum/Bro would call me whenever I'm going home late at night, and they will be downstairs to wait for me... I appreciate them, very much...
Now weekends are so precious to me, because it meant time to spend with Dad, time to chat with Mum in Aussie and listen to Xiaozhuzhu, some time for friends, and time for myself...
Punctuality is a big problem for many people, and I'm talking about more than just 10 - 15 minutes late. There can be thousand and one excuses, but it all boils down to self-discipline, and just maybe once/twice are actual reasonable reasons.
If it only meant that one will be on time for formal meet-ups, and being on time for informal meet-ups are not necessary/can be forgiven, (Yes, it can be) but the amount respect is not given equally.
The most valuable gift that someone can give, is Time.
Oh sidetrack a bit, Mr Man is re-joining MCS in Dec! Woo! comment (0)

Oh yes. It's been a month working at MCS.
Time flies~
Recalling... 16 Sep 09, Wed.
Aikk, Ping and M.Lam was present to help see that we are settled in...
When we step into our office, all of us saw a while MCS envelope with our names in front of the computers, in it was our username and password to log into the computer and our email accounts (our MCS email account!)
Then we had our very first meeting on that day too.
After knowing our roles, we began our research. At first we werent' quite sure too... and the first few days went by quickly.
We were rather kan chiong on the 2nd week when there was a Touch Base Meeting which was postponed to a later time of the day, cancelled and suddenly resumed on that day itself. All of us were busy printing out our segment updates that it dragged for half an hour before the meeting starts. We prepared like it was for a CA presentation in school. =x
C was rather surprised 'cos she didn't know that we had to prepare so much for the meeting. Haha! And then later on we realise what it was actually meant by 'Touch Base Meeting'.
We were also SUPER EXCITED over our namecards when it arrived that I think the whole office heard us. HAHA
Then 3rd week came along. ShiR and I had a sudden filming due to an event which was held on Sat itself. And it was all to sudden to book a crew, requisite for wardrobe, make-up... everything was in a rush. We were pretty anxious too. Luckily it was all settled and ready to go on Sat. Then it was the loss of the day... which you all have read about in my previous entries.
In between, we also had some interesting moments where we played City Beat song and sang along (LOL!), and also saw how was everyone's reaction when we all felt the tremors.
4th week was rather jia lat for me. I wasn't in MCS for almost the whole week as we were back in SP doing our profile video shoot and photoshoot, and I was doing the editing for opening titles... to meet the deadline on Fri, and also editing hosts profile vids and our profile vids... which Megs and Flo help me out in.
In between also had to make final confirmation of the shoot for next week so as to book crew, requisite, book bus... etc.
Had to miss the 3G technology training on Fri which all of them went... and which I also really want to go for... =/
*Hope I will be able to pick up soon*
Got my hands on medialogging, doing requisitions, callsheets... done 4 ep this week, which ShiR and I each went for 2.
Went up to editing suite and saw how the editor work with his fingers all over the keyboard, using shortcuts for editing... so FAST.
Thought I could pick up something from him, but it seemed difficult 'cos he's too fast~... I'll try to get my hands on Avid soon, since it works on Windows. Avid seems to have more effects and and functions than FCP...
School is starting next week! And so, we have to travel to both sides everyday, and telecast date is during which school starts too. I can sense the tension.
Oh well, after a month, I feel that I'm beginning to like it more. Though there's always the press for time, this and that to do, this and that to report... but it's a challenging job.
It is the challenges that make it interesting.
It is the new things to learn that make it refreshing.
It is the people whom we interact with that make it work.
2nd shoot

Saw a car and bus 'lang-gar-ed' accident when we were on the way to shoot this morning, and that person happen to be a MCS staff which LayH and the rest knows.
The bus was still standing strong and sturdy.
The car... windscreen badly broken and the front bumper was dented to quite a certain extent too. Oh, and half the car body was in the drain. We can affirm that the owner is alright because when we were back from the shoot and sat down eating at the canteen, we saw him and he seems to be describing about this morning's incident to his friend.
On our way back, cars were stopped at PIE.
And so it was the traffic police opening up the way for the ammunition transport vehicles to pass through.
Wa. Dua-pai hor? Haha!
Oh ok. Drama.
The shoot went... overrun. Because kids are really hard to control. By the time we all wrap, everyone was drained. Lucky I only had to manage one shoot today.
But the kids were very cute and I was busy laughing at how LayH tried to manage them... =x
"Ice-cream!"
And the kids called Aaron "UNCLE" LOL comment (0)

Waaa!!~~
So cool! It's the first time for all of us to go for the tea reception after the big show. We were all more excited about taking pictures than the food. HAHA
WenT's description on FB of how all of them reacted when I wasn't around at the crucial moment was so hilarious!
It was "starry starry night... paint your palette blue and grey..." *erherm* Went around taking photos (especially my SP gang) with quite a no. of people... Hehe.
BWAHAHA! I wanna go for such tea reception again! But the funny thing is we are always around in MCS and we see artistes around... but we smile. Then when we come to event like this, we are so actively taking pictures with them. HAHA
Oh yeah, back to the performance for the night. I love watching LIVE performances! I like the tribute to MJ item, rope skipping, beatles unlimited, wushu, line dance (massive no. of performers on stage) and Coco's 'Party Time'... oh, did I mention all? =x
And Gurmit was so so superb in dancing!! His headstand and MJ's moves really stunned us! Haha! He used to do breakdance in his early, early days...!

And to be able to master so many dance, skippings in about 2 months time really ain't easy... WOO! KUDOS to Kym and all!
WenT help to take photos and I took video during the perfomance. It's so great there's such coordination and the videos that I took are all so clear! Yay my camera rocks! But file size is so humongous.
YAY!~ I enjoyed last night so much and I'm sure all of us did!
More exclusive pictures uploaded here soon. Hehe.
Does KF and I really look that alike? (Spot her if you don't know who) At least 10 people has said that we look alike/asked are we sisters. Haha. Yeah sisters, not biologically though :)

It's been a bee-working week...
Had a great sleep last night and it was a rainy weather this morning... how nice.
I felt strong cooling wind blowing in the other room... so I went in and sat beside the window.
Then I turned.
I had the same expression like last Saturday.
"WHERE IS MY BOX FULL OF MAGAZINES?!"
And in my mind, the image was like cartoon - lines to show blinking around the place of missing item.
Checked with all my bros and Dad. And I gathered it should be Mum.
And she actually called back when I thought of like calling her later on.
And she really threw it! OMG. She threw it before she went to Aussie and I only realised it after 2weeks+!
Aiyo~ Not angry with her though... but Hai~~~... my archives~
Then...
I travelled for 1 hour+ today for an appointment... and just when I was like 15 minutes away from the place, a call came and it was cancelled. OMG.
Travelled another 1 hour+ back. =/ comment (0)

WOOHOO! Can't wait for the day!
Was conversing at L's table today and saw quite a no. of celebrities walking by, then I overheard some discussion of the upcoming SSS. HAHA.

As we were unwilling to just let the culprit go like that, we went to check the CCTV footages yesterday. Thanks to the security man... 'cos it was 2 - 3 hours of viewing from camera to camera, fast forward, rewinding, slow down... and the camera which Aikk and ShiR told us to check was the crucial one, and the last one (hope) in fact.
*Playing at 2x speed*
He appeared with the loot and holding it blatantly on his right hand!
The first time when I saw it, my reaction was:
"EH! Wait! Uncle, can go back? go back to _ _ : _ _"
My mind was thinking, that one looks like it!!
Aar & XinY came in, asking how was it, then I told them I saw someone that looks like it!
*Playback at normal speed*
*Waiting earnestly*
*APPEARED!*
Different reactions from everyone:
"AHH!! There there there!!"
"YES! OMG!"
"THAT A**H***"
XinY informed ShiR and Aikk.
ShiR & Aikk came back.
*All watch together*
*Rewind & play at 1/2 speed*
*PAUSE!*
*Busy scribbling down how he look like, what he wore etc.*
Felt like a police investigator at that point of time man. So exciting, so drama!
It felt like a scene in Crime Watch whereby the police will be watching the CCTV, then pause, point at the screen and says "There he is!"
HAHA!
The only thing now is hope that they'll get back to me soon, and hopefully recover it.
So sorry for all the trouble for everyone... *bows* comment (0)

Oh man.
First day of VT shoot and it had to happen like that.
Inconvenient to blog about the details. But yeah. I was calm about the whole thing, just shocked and felt sorry. *Thousand of apologies*
*Thanks for all the support and concern*(you know who you are)
------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, the camera crew was nice and candid, they told us to call them 'Big Brother' not 'uncle' yet. HAHA Filming went pretty well and saw how the professional camera crew work to capture nice and interesting happenings at the location itself for montage and establishment shots, they are very initiative and fast. Didn't even have to tell them what to take here and there exactly. *thumbs up*
I was very cute, and the way she speak reminds me of my elder nephew. Z was pretty good for her age in expressing her words.
Tomorrow will be shooting the completed picture of the shark event.
Weekend just comes and goes like that~ comment (0)
