Top 3 things to be happy today!
  1. Exams are over! (and as told by Ping, it was our LAST exam for the DMC course!)
  2. Class gathering!
  3. Star Awards nomination list is out!

It's the most successful class gathering ok, 90% attendance!
Yes! what a great organisation by the organisers *erherm* =x

This is the function room, or rather HOUSE!

View from the function house
Wals kept saying this place look like the kind of place where you always see in drama, the guy would shout to the girl "你听我说!" (Listen to me!) HAHA!

I look like I'm a housing agent...

That's too many agents for you =x

Check out the picture above, I'm almost clear in each one =x

Nah! Everyone's clear here!

That's the very 古色古香 (traditional) interior design of the function house

This pool is tempting huh?!

This is the interior of Ping's house

This view from her balcony isn't very nice now lah huh... with all that construction going on, but will soon be ideal when it's done I guess.

See, her ceiling is mirrored and with spotlights! It's so cool!

That's Ping playing the Wii, claiming that Yoshi always makes her win, we saw how it failed her when the computer players had already completed 2 labs while she's still at the starting point... 'cos she was using the Wii control the wrong way! That shows how long she hasn't been playing it!

Back at the function house

They played Twister, which personal image is not a matter to them anymore

We also had food catered too, which was kinda not worth the value because they don't provide heater, and food was so-so only. Think pizza would be better since they gave a guarantee of the 'hot' factor when delivered, if not they would compensate one-for-one!

That's Ping trying to protect herself from the lap dance William was going to do to her...

One of Aq's dare - to hug the person across you, and take a picture! And poor Matt got it. HAHA

That's when we played 终极密码 (direct translated to be 'The Final Code') altogether. Almost everyone TIO except for a few, including me, I'm super heng in games. WAHAHA
See more of the DARES on video!

Just when I took out my camera to take a picture of the cake, there wasn't anything for me to take. 'cos it's a plain cake from awfully chocolate, it's not that the chocolate tastes awful, it's jsut the name of the shop. I've tasted richer chocolate in cakes than that though. The one for my nephew's one year old birthday. Hoho

What is Ping smiling at so happily?

It's this! All our heart-felt comments on her!~

And that's what we painstaking-ly tried to hide from Ping before we went to her house... When we had some discussion in her office straight after our exam, Ping was suggesting to us to have lunch with her, and while the rest was happily agreeing to it, I gave an expression of thousand words screaming in my heart. Then I scanned around... "where's the vanguard?!" out pops the question on my mind. I walked over to Jov, and whispered to ask "Where's the vanguard?!" And she gave me the "OMG" look and told me it was in the examination room, which was to my horror. HAHAHA
And when Ping was wondering what was going on, she prompted about the lunch date again, the rest not knowing what was going on, was on the verge of agreeing to it, then I had that thousand words expression again. Jov then gave some excuses like they had to take photos at the studio, go sign CA marks etc., to 'reject' the deal offered by Ping.
I think my expression was a joke, 'cos I can imagine how I looked. Jov was laughing all the way at it.
I explained to the rest when we got out of Ping's office, only then that they realised. It's so OMG, how can you all forget?! Wah seh. Luckily my heart is strong enough to tahan you all =x

Thanks to Dioni for the help to open the room, and thanks for the nickname for me (just before we are off for holidays) also huh.

Punctuality is always a problem in this class... as hard as I'm struggling to keep the thing undercover, they came at only 5pm++, then only able to collect the cards written by them and do it discreetly. *Ok Ping, tell me, did you expect/notice the thing?

And so now Ping, you know the reason for our 'rejection' to your kind offer of lunch!~ It's not that we don't want to go with you, but it's all for your own good!

And that's me, with my back facing the camera, trying to look like a person full of thoughts... then I realise the focus wasn't that because my hair turns out so shiny (with the flash used) as to be the focal point of this picture. =x

Posing with my favourite vegetable - chilli! (considered a veg right?)

Jump shots are a must!

That's some of my classmates posing like Singapore's Next Top Model =x

This is so cool, look at that flash from my camera! I've got one of Matt in that way too!

This staircase is just the perfect spot for phototaking!

All of us look cute in this picture! So serious and obedient looking!

This is a super mega cool photo ok! I LOVE IT!

Thanks 04!

I couldn't stop exclaiming about how happy I am that exams are over, I'm free to do anything now!

Oh, and did I forget to mention? It's end of Year 2, and it's the Final Year a.k.a. Senior Year when I start school in April!
_________________________________________

About Star Awards nomination list, well, Kym is nominated for Best Variety Show Host, and her programme - Buzzing Cashier with YiFong is nominated for Best Variety Programme too! That's a double YAY!
For Bryan... maybe due to the little works last year (he was filming the travellogue), he has none.
But they've added a new category - Best Info-ed Programme Host, for the hosts! Which they should have done so long ago because there's only one catergory for the hosts, while there's so many other catergories for the actors.
Hoping nomination of Top 20 for him as well as Kym! Which is like kinda guaranteed, but I had a nightmare yesterday which goes like that - I was watching TV, and they announced the Top 20 Popular Artistes, there isn't Bryan's name! But you know, people say when you remember the dream, it doesn't come true. =x

Singapore Flyer
Saturday, February 21, 2009
Posted @ 11:46 AM

Queued up @ 6am for the free tix to Singapore Flyer!~
(Oh in case you didn't know, SMS '2009' to 79777, flash that SMS at the participating tourism location and you'll get free tix to it! Each person is limited to exchange for 4 tix, with one mobile, one SMS. Only available on February weekends!)

I thought we were early. But, I saw A LOT of people there already when I reached! Many queued overnight, with their mats & sleeping bags... *Amazed at the perseverance of Singaporeans* (Of course, amidst them are some foreigners as well...)

More people started to swarm in at around 7am+... and by then, it was already a whole 'cirlcle' of queue around the place, and they are at the 2nd round already. *Don't know if they are able to get the tix, though I felt the chances are slim 'cos only 2009 tix are given out*

Then there's this auntie who tried to cut queue. There were dissentments of course, and some told her to queue up, but she brushed them off by saying, "不要吵了啦,不要多事啦,我排回这边" (Be quiet, don't be kaypoh, I'll queue back here) repetitively. But the point is, she didn't even have her own queueing spot in the first place! But later on all let the matter rest on the account that she's an elderly... well... I felt pity for her too... My uncle said that she had a son with her earlier on, think he made her cut the queue thinking that people will just let it go (like what we did). Singaporean is flooding with compassion. But the good thing is that, being obedient Singaporeans, we all followed by the principle of queueing up.

Moving on to the carpark, there were 'congestion' because of... you know, the exit is at one corner, entrance is at another, but I guess one car turned left (towards the entrance corner) and turned one big round to go to the exit when he/she could have turned right to exit, leading up to the cars behind follow suit... blind follows the blind... and there, you have all the cars stuck, some are entering, some are trying to exit because there's no way but to follow the 'direction to exit' already.
Then the guy who was queueing before us during our queue for the tix, parking beside my uncle's car, got down from his, and initiates to direct the traffic, wah... he does it like a professional I tell you. And later on it was all smooth sailing already! *APPLAUSE*

Had 'big prawn noodles' at the Old Changi Airport road hawker. Nice! But I can't stand the soup (not that I can sit on it also), 'cos there's a 'fishy' smell *yes although there's no fish... you know what I mean*.

-------------------------------------------------------
*And here's the update! (25 Feb, 3.08am)

Different views of the capsule

That's almost everyone... with some extended family members in it too

Time flies when you are up there ok... I just feel that it's not enough!~ I feel like having more rounds of it. That time when the Flyer had short circuit, the people were stuck on it for hours... wah, don't know if you call that a blessing in disguise, ok, it is from my point of view... too optimistic huh. HAHA But how often do you have such encounters of being trapped and having such scenic view?

There's still construction going on for the integrated resort (IR) - our country's mega project going to be up next year, I guess by then when you are on the Flyer, the view would be even more superb! It simply lifts the mood of one when you are on it.

Here's how the view looks like up there!

Just when you are thinking - "What's there to see of the scenery in Singapore?"
Let me show you with a wider angle view

The zoom that I could go on to that little thing with white streamlines behind it in the above picture shows this

Some dragon-boating people

A dockng boat

The Esplanade

Our current stadium used for National Day performances, and yes that's a soccer field you see on the 'floating stage'

This is my youngest cousin, almost 2-months old now!

"Don't do anything silly!"

"Ok... I'm having second thoughts"

The level at which we are progressing down to end our "ferris wheel" trip

And that's the big wheel behind me!

That's my nephew shouting because he was jealous at the sight of...

this - my bro piggy-backing my cousin!

Some candid shots with my little cousins!

She was sick, so wasn't as active as usual... aww. Sick-ness just boils down the mood.

We had our dinner @ Lau Pa Sat - a place which I have no recollection of, but the interior design of it is very Britain, and of such a contrast from the street right outside, the 'satay street', which is very local culturistic, and which reminds me of our AM tactics for LCG!

And see, there's even a 'stage' on top of the fruit juice bar for band performance of a regular basis provided by Lau Pa Sat!

So yeah, have a chance to take a ride on the Flyer!~ I want to have a ride on it when the IR is up...
