Months of preparation...
Hours of hard work...
Minutes of showcase...

It's the day today!

It's simply taxing... to put up an event!

But this module is pretty interesting, in the fact that we come up with programmes for the segments, sourcing for sponsors, sourcing for participants, planning for layout, decoration... it's a ALL-IN-ONE experience!

It was organised for the Sec 4 & 5's taking O's this year, to let them experience a little about our life in DMC!

Our group had to perform in the mass segment as well, so that's extra work, but also a bonus to us 'cos we enjoyed it! Wals came up with the lyrics, accompanying with High School Musical's song - I Want It All! Then we also had it recorded in our studio... (Which was really nauseating.) So you guessed it. We performed a musical in front of 200 over students and lecturers!

We either forget the lyrics while we dance, or forget the dance while we sang during rehearsals and practices... but the actual performance in front of all them turns out great!!

I'm so so glad for that! And some of them were shocked when we suddenly came up from our seats in the lecture hall to start singing and dancing... HAHA! I could see the smiles and giggles on their faces while we perform too... It felt so good. I guess that's the small small sense of achievement for a performer/entertainer. ^^

Lecturers and fellow school mates gave us very postive comments about our performance... I want to see ourselves performing so badly! But too bad it wasn't recorded. Heard that the CASS director was all smiles too. :)

Then later on they were split to go to the small segment, which was held in a tutorial room.

And here's ours - BROADway After Media Calls!
This title has double meaning - our theme was Broadway, so yes. Broadway.
Broadway After Media Calls meant that there's various paths of career venture that you can go to, after the media course (calls)!

This was the exterior decorations...

That's our poster on the left, in case you are wondering. =x

And here's more to the interior!

The lights above are our "stage" for the small segment, which was made out of cardboard boxes and mini torchlights!

We spent almost 4 hours putting all that up... and it was just the look and feel that we expected! It's all hard work put together! Great job and thanks to the whole team! WOO! *Eh eh, I am also part of the team too ok, just that I don't want to claim credit with my photo up there. =x HAHA!

And here's the end product!

And just look at the difference of these AFTER pictures... which we cleared up and revert back to what the original room looked like.

We had a segment whereby they had to design a creative ad for any type of products, and they all came up with some real cute and funny ones, and it was kinda unique too!

All ready to see the ad presentations of each other...

This group presented a "SPECulation" spectacles which changes colour of the lens according to what you want!

This group presented on a pair of shoes which is so comfy that makes you...

FLY!~ HAHA!

They presented on a type of pill which changes the person's mood after consuming it, so this guy on the right was feeling sad...

After consuming the "Happy Pill", he is happy!

The "Anything Remote" that controls even real people, making them pause and play, you are in control!

And the winning team was the comfy shoes that makes you "FLY!~"!

Then we also had a photoshoot session for them with our backdrop... which we printed out on over 60 A3-size papers and piece it all up!

They seem to enjoy the programmes lined-up for them... Hope they really had fun wth us!

And of course, how could we miss a photoshoot for ourselves? We took this before the event started, set on timer... and look what happens in this picture below...

1: Lee Yan haven't run in yet, Jov: "Lee Yan, hurry!"
2: Lee Yan running in...
