We went for the Autium jewellery event in the afternoon to give our support to Aqmar who has made it to the finals to compete against others to be the ambassador!
The dance performance... the guy was whom was labelled as Adrian Pang look-a-like by Jov and Wals. HAHA
Our top model!
Leen and Jov won some discount vouchers in the lucky draw for the Autium jewelley.
(Left) The sweet couple!!
(Right) The congratulations by the friends =x
Though Aqmar didn't win anything (oh yes, he has, he can get a free Autium designed ring), he still stands out among the other 3 guys, and the winner is OMG (sorry to say that, but ya.)
Our short film titled - Welcome To My Life, is for our CA3 project, and we had a chance to go to the editing suite to look at the shots that wasn't good so that we can do a make up on the shots tonight, which we were suppose to end our filming.
It was only during the time we spent watching through what we filmed that we realise we got quite some laughable and imperfect shots.
And, wah, let me tell you, editing job is really satisfying though requires quite some effort, but I like it! We really had a great time laughing at our mistakes and acting. =x
Behind-the-scenes (10 - 12 Dec & 14 Dec)

The crew/cast working hard...

We were faced by the most crucial problem - sound & sight.
It was at night, which is supposedly quiet, but there's toad croaking away... people walking past, talking, making noises or even stay up that late at that location to use laptop. Band practising, ahtletics jogging around and blowing their whistle. Gosh! And the worst thing is, it is that late at night, yet the construction site is drilling, cling cling cliang cliang away...
So we wasted time to wait...
Not to forget there's always the camera rehearse then the actual shot. I've got this scene that I run up the flight of staircase, taken from different angles... so ran up like 6 or 7 times? HAHA But it was all worthwhile 'cos the shot was beautiful! (Can't wait to show it!)
Actually our way of filming is already considered very simplified because we didn't really take master shots which many lines have to be said at one go like a normal conversation.
So we should make ourselves enjoy the process... such as posing for the camera!

*Mostly were taken by PB, and also a few by Aqmar
So how was it? Anticipating the debut of our short film?
Post-production will be starting soon, and hopefully by then I would be able to upload the completed copy here, as well as the NG footages!
We really rushed all the ending shots @ about 11pm 'cos the gate was gonna close, and if it closes...
So it was kan-chiong moments during the last 10 minutes. After completing the final shots, we RAN all the way towards the exit where the MRT station was... with our camera, tripod, reflector, boom mike stand...

HAHA as I was running, I was also thinking, if only there's someone that takes a picture of us running along with all those stuff, it would be so comedic!
Then while Leen and Wals were ahead of us, they turned back to tell us about the gate... @ that moment, I was thinking, maybe it would be quite exciting to be locked up in school... HAHA crazy thought I know, though I was hoping to go home too, and luckily the gate wasn't closed yet. So yeah, everyone were so very glad that our filming has finally completed!
It was a very good job by everyone - Jovis, Aileen, Aqmar, Syawal and Nadine!

Everyone, yes, everyone in a production is important, be it soundman, cameraman, director, assistant producer, actors/actresses... without the collaboration and team work of all, a production would not have been possible.
So next time if you watch a movie, do watch till the end of the credits roll to show your appreciation and respect for their efforts!
Comment alert!

Before everything ends, just some comments on behalf of all DMC students, the Digital Media Studio (DMS) access systems is very inefficient.
1) To get in to DMS, we have to press the "door bell", it is only if someone is inside, then only can that person open the door for you.So next time if you watch a movie, do watch till the end of the credits roll to show your appreciation and respect for their efforts!

2) To loan out equipments, yes, I accept the application through filling the form.
BUT only Edmund (the person-in-charge of DMS) has the access (not even lecturers) to the powerbook (apple laptop lah... sounds nice right?) which we will be using to edit our film.
BECAUSE the editing suite is not open during the holidays.
AND Edmund is always with a bunch of keys locking in and out of the store which all the equipments are kept EVERY SINGLE TIME he comes out and give it to us. He is suppose to start work @ 8am, but came later. He goes for coffee break @ 8.30am. He goes for lunch break @ 11am till... I don't know? 12pm + we were waiting outside, he is not back yet.
Oh, so that's his job.
As you can see, it is not only inconvenient for us to book out the equipments and get everything done in the studio, it is VERY x ??? times inconvenient and inefficient!
And, they stated that only DMC students are allowed access to the DMS, but what's the use when we can only gain access by PRESSING DOOR BELL and wait for people INSIDE to open up for us? It is so un-cool.
Our student card should allow us to tap on the card reader for just a simple task - opening of door to DMS.
If they don't trust us to handling of all these, there's already CCTV installed in the DMS.
