Asian First Films Festival 2007 (AFFF) is an event to showcase the productions of first time film makers of Asian origin, and awards are presented on the awards night (4 Dec) itself.
This event was held at Vivo City GV, Arts House and HOUSE from 27 Nov - 4 Dec.
Went there as volunteer to help out as usher and booth-tending-personnel with my poly cliques.
First day was @ Vivo GV
The award sponsored by Swarovski
Opening film - Khadak (filmed in Mongolia)
The male & female lead in this film won Best Actor & Best Actress.
But this film puts us to sleep... seriously.
The + points lies in the scenery of Mongolia.
(Left) Media kit offered to us by a NYP media student working as an intern for MDA during the AFFF event.

Other shifts on Friday & Saturday was @ The Arts House
Some of the artistic objects around...

Went in to watch - Feet Unbound, on Saturday. A documentary on the history of China's Red Army, which women goes into war to fight, having to cross the grassland and snowy mountains, marching a distance of 12,500km. Solely by foot.
It was an enjoyable and interesting film, and I learnt a lot from it.
Adding on to that, the backstage crew were Singaporeans collaborating with Australians.
Around Singapore River...

Today was the visit to SPH news centre for some tour experience to know how it works and feels like in the actual environment.
Some of the pictures shown by Zhi Yong (the young journalist of the year) from his past experience in scouting for news

Their computer screens are all so big!

This is one of the sketches they had to do if the place is not allowed to be filmed or carry out photography, for e.g. subordinate court.
Went on to Orchard for a shopping spree after we made our final plans on the script for the CA3 short film! (Do look out for it!)
Got a cup of Starbucks drink for free 'cos of a promotion time period! And I ordered Java Chips!
