- Ryyan Spenser Ronald.
- Eldest Aunt
- 4th Aunt
Ryyan was a secondary school mate of mine. Though not on close terms with him, still, it is an unbelievable and shocking fact that he had passed away on 28 Nov 07 due to an accident, at the age of 18.
The first thing that came to my mind when his name was mentioned was his smile and his cheerful character.
When I was standing by his coffin with all my ex-classmates, tears started to flow uncontrollably despite myself trying hard to hold it back. It applies to everyone as well, even though I know he wouldn't want to see us in this state...
May he be blessed with happiness now... and hoping that as time passes by, it would gradually take away the pain due to his departure from his loved ones.
Ryyan's depature reminds me of my 2 beloved aunts - Eldest aunt & 4th aunt.
They were both very nice ladies, but eldest aunt was strickened with cancer for some years, and later passed on in March 2004.
My 4th aunt, on very close terms with my eldest aunt, was stricken with liver cancer in Sep, the same year. After a few weeks, she passed on too, in Oct 2004.
Very upsetting to have 2 relatives passing away in a year, and my Ah Gong grew very thin because of it... Ah Ma wasn't informed about it, as she was suffering from ammensia...
Many of us - the ex-classmates gathered due to Ryyan's funeral, which then triggered upon the question in my mind:
Do we have to wait till we encounter this sort of event that would then make us all "reunite"?
Sometimes, we merely took everyday for granted, took everyone's existence for granted, not noticing the fact that someday, it would never come or be able see the person again.
Cherish now... for the fact that you wouldn't regret when it doesn't happen the same way again.
They will always live in our hearts.
If only things could happen this way...
